So the sharpening filter that many complain about is defined by those values, right:

tmaaNewUpScale=on
tmaaSharpnessType=2
tmaaSharpnessAwareIntensity=0.2

Question: what does tmaaSharpnessType do or rather what "SharpnessTypes" are there and how do they differ? I realized that setting that to 1 it seems much sharper looking, as if giving off the impression of more details. But it seems to be a dynamic thing as certain places make the sharpening kick in too strongly. I suspect tmaaSharpnessAwareIntensity regulates that, right?
My guess is that Type 1 is the same as you can see in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. And dunno if AwareIntensity works for Type 1, it may works only for Type 2.

If all I wanted to do was modify these graphics settings, would I still need to go through the whole home brew process? I'm new to this and don't want to get banned.

It definitely looks as crisp as XB2 does with Type 1 but it seems to be a dynamic type of sharpening and a very clumsy implementation at that: textures in the distance but also in close especially appear to have more detail which adds to the depth perception and the water light reflections do look much nicer, but it is totally broken when it comes to foliage. Somehow, when running through patches of grass the sharpening suddenly triples in intensity making everything look very grainy.When I look at the sky, it's back to normal again. This was never the case in XB2 or Torna. It's really sad, since whenever there's no foliage on screen the sharpening Type 1 looks much better than the muddy Type 2 implementation.

I found my own best settings that combine best resolution, best perf, no blur at all, beautiful in handled and docked, good light and good shadows with all effects activated!

It's not "my work" because I combined every shared config from xenoblade chronicles 1 et 2 threads! So thanks to all of you guys!

It's available for xeno 1, xeno 2(also with torna), xeno torna standalone all versions

When I turn the camera there is a bit of a "ghosting" effect on objects such as the main character. Which setting disables that? I think it has something with TMAA.

FWIW, this all works great in Yuzu, as well. I have set the minimum and maximum resolution to 2.0, and disabled the blur and anti-aliasing. It makes the game look fantastic in 1440p. :)

You'll want to extract it to:

Inside CustomConfig, there should be a single romfs folder
