Gaming Xbox 360 Charger cable

Can the charger cable that comes with the Xbox Plug & Charge kit let you charge normal AA NiHM batteries?

Or will it only charge the NiHM battery pack?

The connections aren't in the right place for it to charge AA batteries, its probably a safety feature to stop idiots from trying to charge non-rechargable batteries.

Side note: Someone else from Hull, that probably makes two of us.
