Hi guys not sure how xbox 360 work with repairs but I bought this off some dude and they mentioned it does not turn on.

I checked the power brick shows a yellow solid light could it be an issue with that or my guess it he internal power supply died?

One of the first things to try would be to swap the PSU for a known working one just to rule out the PSU.

I wouldn't open up the PSU if you don't know what you're doing.
It carries high voltages through its components which can be lethal.

If you do fancy on making a dirty repair, I know there's a ATX PSU to Xbox PSU mod.

Anyway, I doubt unplugging the PSU would work since you said you just bought it.

I was just googling possible issues if it was the power brick it would flash orange when trying to turn but my unit straight up does not even show signs off life?

The light on the adapter stays yellow.. I guess I will just find another PSU

Yeah you gotta make sure you have a good PSU first. If you verify you do, and it still isn’t working, I’d open it up and look for rusted/bulging capacitors next.

If you still have a known good supply have you tried with nothing attached but the video cables and the supply? No controllers, no hard drive, no USBs, no memory cards...
I don't know about the originals but I have had some issues with controllers before on others. Might also want to check the USB ports to make sure nothing is wedged in there, pins are bent or other such things.
