Wiimmfi “finding opponents” issue

I did the new wiimmfi patcher on Mario kart wii, the method only requires the DNS…. everything went alright until I get to the “finding opponents” screen. It would just keep “finding opponents” for ever. I tested this on dolphin emulator and it works just fine. So I know it isn’t a network issue.
Any suggestions???
