From the wii.com site regarding the Internet Channel:

The final version of the Opera browser will be available at the end of March 2007, and will be free for all Wii owners to download through the end of June 2007.

does that opera end date mean that it will stop working and must be a paid for since then?

It also says that after june you will have to download Opera trough the wii shopping channel using wii points.
