What do you think is causing this weird issue with my N3ds XL?

When I leave it not fully charged for long periods of time about 70% to 40% battery it stops turning on or charging. The power indicator led doesn't light up at all. The way to wake it back up is to leave it plugged to the charger for a couple of minutes until the orange light comes back. It's like the battery is losing charge while the 3ds is turned off or something

Well. it does use a little power to keep the time and date running. So you are correct there. Is there a cart or flastcard in the game slot?

How old is the console? Could be that the battery itself is running down.

I checked and the battery looks normal and isn't bloating.

Battery isn't swollen and doesn't drain fast when I use it

It charges fine after I wake the system back up. I just need to always make sure the battery is well charged for it not to die again

Wouldn't it not even turn on if it was the fuse

That may be the case, but bloating isn't the only sign that a battery is running down, nor is it the only way in which a battery can start to fail. All Li-ion batteries have a finite life and yours might simply be unable to hold much charge. How old is it?

I think I bought it in 2016.

Idk if it really is the battery since I can get 3 to 4 hours of gaming in one sitting.

Hmm yeah that does sound about normal. Not too sure to be honest then.
