Hardware vWii won't connect to the internet

hey, I just modded my vwii today in hopes of playing some mario kart online but my vwii won't connect to the internet. i keep seeing people saying to check if the wii logo is on the connection and my connection has it so idk what to do! is there a fix?

I already have the wiimmfi patcher on my sd card in fact I was planning on using ctgpr which has built-in wiimmfi support

I've had similar problems: I had to connect my Wii U to a older router to play online.

i do want to do that but i don't know how to do it i also heard that a wii lan adapter can fix it but i wanted to see if there were other solutions before i spent any money on it

try a hotspot on the pc or phone.

i already use my hotspot on my regular wii but i don't want to use my data anymore so i'm trying to find a solution

Can't you just connect your wifi to your phone THEN connect your Wii to your phone's hotspot? Or that's not how hotspots works.

Here's the thing though, my phone needs SIM Card data to run a hotspot, while my PC doesn't. But my PC's hotspot can't be found on my Wii U, although I'm not sure why.
Ok, so I fixed that problem, although my hotspot won't connect.

I had this problem when I first modded my vWii too. Eventually tried using an ethernet cable and it worked. Strange thing is that when I tried WiFi again without the ethernet cable I was able to connect just fine. Might not work for everyone but if you run out of ideas maybe it’s worth a try.
