For many, Bluepoint Games' remake of FromSoftware's Demon's Souls is certain to be an exclusive PlayStation 5 system-seller right out of the gate. Or rather, that was what was thought to be the case. In a shocking turn of events, the end of today's official Demon's Souls trailer, shown at the PlayStation Showcase event, featured a tagline denoting that the game will not be available on other consoles for a limited time, and will also be available on PC. That means it's incredibly likely that we'll see Demon's Souls not only release on PC, but also on the Xbox Series X, once the exclusivity period has expired. Another important tidbit revealed was that Demon's Souls will also be a launch title for the PlayStation 5, which has been given a release date of November 12th, for the United States, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and New Zealand.

UPDATE: Following the end of the conference, Sony pulled the trailer from its channel. Here is the original image from the video. Whether this means the text below is true or not is now unconfirmed.

UPDATE 2: Sony claims that the video was incorrect and that the game will not be coming to any platform except the PS5.

What makes more sense? Sony trying to damage control to boost their next console sales, or the people in charge of the trailer adding PC for shits and giggles without anyone noticing?

The "human error" in question isn't that it's coming to PC, but that they weren't supposed to say it so soon.

OK so I've been out of the loop.. As of now they are saying the "also coming to PC" part is a lie? So it's "NOT" coming to PC?

Well shit. I mean, a graphics upgrade isn't gonna do jack shit to improve the gameplay. I guess well will continue to enjoy the 60fps RPCS3 version..

Either way, we have some amazing mods for all three DS games.

Cinders for DS3, Augur of Darkness for DS2, and.. IDR the name of the main one for DS1, but they are all amazing. They will keep us busy at least.


Still have fingers crossed for the Bloodborne PC reveal before the PS5 release... Please... Sony....
