i suppose this is what you mean by favicon?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon
who the hell develops a website and doesn't know how to hell to include a minimal feature like this?
or you know.. you can easily google it..

i was going to say that you wrote this in a passive aggressive way, but then i realized gbatemp already has an icon in the url.. so that is not it...

I gave a guide to find software. You don't need an introduction. Do you need me to walk your fricking hand through candyland on the way to the guide of favicons?

You know how people are.
You can make something noob friendly as you can, someone will just create a better noob.

Sigh... lemme piggyback off this a bit. I would rather not have a "guide to googling how"

How to Create and Use a Favicon / Site Icon

Favicons are the icons that appear next to a site in the browser. For example...

xfqiQwb.png

These images display at a 16x16 pixel resolution and usually contain either a shrunken down image, a logo, a portion of a logo, or pixel art.

1 - Create or get an image to use as a favicon. Any image editing tool will work fine for this, though I'd recommend paint.net. Make sure it has a resolution of 16x16 px (pixels).

2 - Go to an .ico-supporting converter website. There are plenty out there. convertico.com works fine, for example. Convert the image to a .ico, ensuring it is 16px, if a choice is given.

3 - Rename the converted icon to "favicon.ico"

4 - Place the icon file in the root of your website. It should appear on most browsers, including Chrome and Firefox. If not, there are other methods of including a favicon, including editing the HTML of the site.
