ROM Hack [Translation/Port] Fire Emblem Fates Japanese Exclusive DLC

It worked like a charmDLC is working aswell except for the fact that it's not patched/everything is displayed in japanese instead. I've redone the whole thing several times by now(probably because I pretty much learnt everything by heart by now ) and also checked that feat did extract the translation files but nothing changes.
What I did observe(?) though is that in all attempts the game 'could not find downloadable content. Would you like to start your game with part of the save data removed?' I tried that option and went to the dragon's gate and all DLCs are there(including the festival DLCs). Though as aforementioned the festival DLCs are unpatched and are missing the icons. I've already checked the MetaContentHeader.bin and compared everything with the exact same problem/solution(?) mentioned in this thread before and nothing seems to be amiss. The only thing I noticed is that the 'missing DLC' the game refers to is probably the amiibo units I registered in my main save file(Relevations) because the issue does not appear when I load my Birthright/Conquest playthroughs. I've also grabbed both SilentHells and your version of the tranlation files to make sure that it can't be blamed on corrupted files but the result remains the same.
So based on my amateurish opinion there can't/shouldn't be any mistakes on my side until this part

  Rebuilding the our Content Info Archive with the Icon
  1. Open up RomFS Builder.
  2. Click Open and select the ContentInfoRomFS folder.
  3. Click Go and save the file as ContentInfoRomFS.bin and save to the project directory, replacing the old one.
  4. In cmd, paste the following code: makerom -f ncch -target t -rsf DLC.rsf -icon icon.bin -romfs ContentInfoRomfs.bin -o 00000062.app This will rebuild the NCCH container with the icon.bin.

I can't think of another reason because this is the only part in which the desired icons and english patched files are rebuilt(though there is the part in which the original files are patched but that's literally just drag and drop accompanied with a confirmation notice to rewrite said files). But then again this step is just copy and paste the command which makes it even more perplexing in my eyes how I failed such a simple task.

*edit I just realized that the amiibos can't be the issue at all because they're displayed just fine in game which shouldn't be the case if the respective DLC were missing

I play on EU Conquest Cartridge in english. What I noticed is that the raw japanese files somehow overwrote the Hero's Brands/Exalt's Brands(received from before Awakening DLC) description. Perhaps there might be a conflict because my save files do have the restoration patch by Team IF installed. Unfortunately I don't have the base gamedatabin.file anymore to test it.

Well, I have the NA Conquest cart so I can’t say for sure, but yes, I’d say the Team IF patch causing it is a possibility. Not sure if there’s anything I can do to help you if that’s the case though.

Yes, it would work in the European version, but in English only. Sadly there is no Spanish translation project that I know of.

I have a problem following your directions:
I use the european version wit the latest updates. The game works fine but for some reason my SYSNAND SD/title/0004008c/00179500/content/00000000 does not contain a 00000062.app.
Therefore I can only do everything else up to Dumping the Content Info Archive and Icon. Everything else is there.

Hello, did it work for you ? I have the exact same issue and I couldn't solve it... is it because I use the physical form of the game(I have to mention that when I install the jp dlc it doesn't appear in the dragon gate is it normal ?) ? Should I download the cia in some other way ? Or can I get this 062.app somewhere else ?
I hope someone can help me cause it's like the last step I feel so bad Dx, thank you in advance ^^.

Edit: I check again and only the following dlcs show: Ghostly Gold, Boo Camp, Museum Melee, Beach Brawl, Royal Royale, Before Awakening, Hidden Truths 1 & 2. All are unplayable except Ghostly Gold. When I check Citra DLC folder, apparently many app files aren't extracted.

Edit 2: I did try to replace 0000008d, 0000006c, 00000063 app files in DLC folder, though icons & title do appear but unplayable. ("Failed to read file" then quit to menu)

Edit 3: Nevermind, I have fixed this already. What I actually do is build all app files instead of just a few, otherwise, it won't work. So in the end, I have this command:

I have this problem too... But with EU Version. I tried to add every file but I can't fix this problem with citra. But from my 3DS I don't have this problem. I think CIA support in Citra is very bad

It's been a long time since I build the cia file so I can't remember everything. How I rebuild the cia is I use ninfs to mount the original dlc then look at the contents. Something like this.

Notice the first four digits and eight last digits separated by a full stop.

And just base on that, copy and paste to rebuild the apps in the right spot.

This is just based on my USA DLC. I try to download the EUR one and it doesn't;t have dummy apps like mine

Comment with the translation and I'll approve of them manually if anyone is still interested in this. I've only picked this up as a spare hobby between work and other responsibilities. If I'm lucky I can do one conversation a day. I may lost interest again depending on how life hits me. If I'm REALLY interested, I'll rewrite the guide, as I have streamlined some of the process and figured out how to get it working with Citra easier. In fact, it's way easier to test on Citra than on a real 3DS.

I managed to complete Caeldori and most of Rhajat and will finish up hers in a couple days as well as finish the epilogue.
I've started female Kana in the meantime. I also deleted the 2nd and 3rd Corrin dialogues as they go unused in the English release, making the Spring Scramble roughly 35% complete.

I've finished Rhajat's scripts as well as Fem Kana's. I also went back and reworked the intro and kimono dialogues to sound more natural AGAIN. I also made Dwyer's speech match more to his localized counterpart. I've also finished the ending script as well. Other notable changes include localizing most Japanese food names, taking inspiration from several support conversations referencing Japanese food. I also went back and "localized" the song titles in Shiro and Hisame's conversations with Azura so that it doesn't read like a bare bones fan translation while trying to maintain the original intent of the lines. I think I did pretty well in that regard. I also changed the names of the DLC to match more to the style of the other DLC's.

Thank you, currently I am actually going back and reviewing ALL of the translation prior to picking up Caeldori again. Looking back, there are plenty of mistranslations I wanted to fix and it also gives me the chance to make any previous text sound more natural. Since starting this project all those years ago, my philosophy surrounding translation has changed a bit. Before, I'd try to maintain the same sentence structure from the Japanese as much as possible and that had a bad habit of making sentences sound redundant and unnatural. I want to try and fix that before moving forward, because I feel the quality now vs. before really shows comparing Shiro to Kana F. So, if you see that progress on Kana M has stopped, that is why. I'll try my best to go through this as quickly as possible.
