I've only recently gotten into hacking and modding 3DSes, and I haven't used this forum before so I apologize if I posted in the wrong spot or something. I recently bought a Japan imported New 3DS LL, with an open mind to region changing or language swapping for certain games.
I was skeptically hoping I could take the microSD from my current homebrewed US original 3DS, but no changes seem to take place when I put in that card. It is detected, the new 3DS knows it's there, and it can read how many blocks are left on it, it just doesn't load any of the content. Is this to be expected or is something wrong with the new 3ds?
Anyways, I'm looking to do some kind of transfer of data if possible, and was looking for recommendations on the best option possible. Should I start from scratch and just homebrew the new 3DS?
