Pretty sure this character right there is Demise.
Also pretty sure that, if he is, we will see this scene only in a flashback
Why? Because Demise is dead at this time of the story.
And we actually saw him in the very announcement of the sequel

Even though this is billed as a “sequel” I think it’s actually a prequel. A “sequel-prequel”, in the fashion of start wars. Something just seems off.

Why speculations like this? Just wait the few weeks 'til it's there and then have fun. We will see the game early enough because it will leaked early enough. For sure.
