Hacking SwitchRoot Android not starting up

So I've recently attempted to set up SwitchRoot Android. Every time I try to start it up, though, my Switch screen just goes black and shuts down. Have I looked at an outdated or unofficial tutorial, or what am I doing wrong? Since I'm new, I can't link posts, but I've used Prb's Switchroot Android 10 Q Guide on GBAtemp.

Do I need to start over completely? If so, how do I get my SD card set up to do it again (for example, removing the Android partition)?

Have you tried checking if you have the option to boot android in"more configs"?, that's the default path so it could be just a badly written path on hekate that you got there.

I would start again from the beginning. It is best to format the SD card with this tool. Copy Hekate and the Android files to the SD card and then follow the instructions.

okay! will this tool wipe the whole SD card? if it does, can I back up my emu nand?

Switchroot Android 10 is listed (which I've shown opening up in the video), though if the path is badly written, how would I fix that?

Rewatched your video and thought you had switchroot on the "launch"option of hekate, so i was wrong. Maybe try pressing volume up while you press Android launcher so you can force TWRP recovery so you can reinstall without reformatting.

If that fails you really should just reinstall from scratch. I really recommend to format from hekate so you can first set up your android partition, more than 16 gb (i recommend just 10GB unless you are going to try heavy android games) is not needed anymore because now you can access the fat32 partition from inside android so you can share files like roms with horizon.

yes it will erase your SD card. Backup your SD card if necessary. but you can also just reflash android. copy all Android files to your SD card and press flash Android in Hekate partition manager. After that, boot to twrp and reinstall Android.
Keep in mind that open gapps have some problems right now. Switchroot dev macinbacon posted this today.

Hey, sorry for the very late reply! I'll just go with reformatting at this point. I'll keep updated in a bit. For now imma back up my SD card. What files are necessary for backing up the EmuNAND?

what type of emunand do you have? File based or partition based?

Go to hekate>Tools>backup click sd raw and backup both. Boot0/1 and rawnand from your emummc.
After this copy the backup files to your pc and start whit the guide.
