Or perhaps Japan provided all of the consoles for Europe? No idea...

1. maybe it's where the factory is located

2. maybe in the start was not meant to be region-free.

I updated the OP and inserted all the serials that already included the necessary informations. When I started the thread I
used the 3DS serial thread as an example, I hand't considered that the 3DS has sold much more consoles that the switch so
less digits of the serial were needed. Oh well.
