Homebrew Souls-like homebrew for DS?

Hey, so I've been getting into Elden Ring and other such games from the genre, and I saw a lot of possibility in a Souls-Like game on the DS. Not necessarily the perfect definition of the genre on the platform, but something that invokes some of those souls vibes. Does anyone know of any? Thank you!

You mean something with brutal difficulty, and close enough aesthetics?
I would recommend checking out the Dark Spire, it's a first person RPG, a bit brutal in the beginning, but that's what you're looking for, right?
As for a 3rd person game akin to Dark Souls, there's none on the DS. There's some Ninja Gaiden games on the DS but i wouldn't call them difficult or Souls-like..

Yeah, the DS was on its way out by the time the souls-like was getting popular, that's why I was thinking maybe there would be some homebrew or something on it.

Nope, not that i know of. There's ports of games like Doom, Duke Nukem, Quake & Hexen etc. But again, not Souls-like..

Souls like might be hard to come by but its precursor in roguelikes do feature in a lot and scratch much the same itch for a lot of people.

I generally suggested Powder if people are doing homebrew.

Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja and its sequel represent something worth looking into on the commercial side of things. Some might go more for Shiren the Wanderer.

Bit more off topic but Hoshigami running blue earth can be worth checking out if it is mastery of a system you seek but at that point we are more into turn based tactics.

Etrian Odyssey, and it did get a mystery dungeon effort on the 3ds (mystery dungeon being a long running franchise that pulls in various other franchises to do a roguelike sort of thing, the pokemon effort being a lot of what people look at on the GBA, DS and 3ds).
