To the shock of just about no one, Paramount Pictures has come up with a title for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie sequel. Revealed to be named Sonic the Hedgehog 2, it’s officially scheduled to hit theaters on April 8, 2022. An incredibly short trailer shows off the film’s logo, with the 2 represented in orange and with Tails’ namesake.

Given the tease at the end of the first film, I think it's a safe bet that he will be. Paramount/Sega would be foolish to let the best part of the first film get away.

Imagine New Sonic the Hedgehog, or Sonic the Hedgehog U, or Sonic the Hedgehog ONE. Or if they want to embrace the meme of memes, Sonic 2: Electric Boogaloo
