Hardware Seeking N3DS Circle Pad and CStick replacement parts

Hey all, I have a N3DS and I'm looking to get some replacement parts for both its Circle Pad and CStick. (My main game is Smash 3DS and I play that about every other night for 2-3hrs. I don't kill my sticks, but just saying.)

So I have a few concerns before I jump in...
1) I keep running across listings that say "for N3DS XL". Would the parts from the XL models work on the smaller N3DS version?
2) Are the internals of N3DS the same as its XL version?
3) How do 3rd party parts fair?
4) Any recommended sites/stores or even sellers I should look out for?

All tips would be appreciated.

As far as I'm aware the circle pad, c stick, and buttons(other than the shoulder buttons) are the same between the normal and XL but I don't think anything beyond that is. If you're looking to get parts to have around in the future you might want to find an official replacement battery to keep on hand, the N3DS uses a different battery and I've had trouble finding one before.
