Homebrew Question RPG Maker XP games on Switch?

Theres a bunch of cool pokemon fan games made in RPG maker, sadly they werent made in RPG Maker 2000/ 2003 So they dont work with EasyRPG.

Has anyone made anything that lets you play RPG Maker XP / VX games on switch?

Yes, there's JoiPlay on Android, that it is a game interpreter to launch RPG Maker XP/VX/Ace/MV games.

Yeah at a glance it looked like they were probably only sharing the source code that they were obliged to because it's for modules that are based on existing open source projects.

Maybe you can run rpgmaker xp games through Ubuntu? Use the windows version and then run it through WINE or something.
Not sure but worth a shot.

WINE won't work for x86 apps on ARM.

The EasyRPG folks have made the homebrew thats available on switch. Go ask in their forum if they can make an XP version. you will have better results there, as they know their code and already made homebrews

There was the good old MKXP (https://github.com/Ancurio/mkxp) and it wouldn't surprise me if that powered the JoiPlay. It works on SDL so it could be feasable.
Remember RPG Maker XP was a huge step up from RM 2k/3, and that was because of Ruby.

Try installing Android 10 on your switch via https://switchroot.org/, and then use the player from there.

Installing Android on Switch really isn't that difficult, all you need is an SD Card big enough to be partitioned for the separate OS. Go here for more instructions.

Yeah, it's not that it's hard. I just already have sysmmc and emummc on my 512GB card. Not sure I want another install taking up space
