Homebrew Discussion Retroarch v1.9.6 and FW 12.1.0 crashing

Anyone able to run Retroarch v1.9.6 on FW 12.1.0? I'm using Atmosphere-0.19.5 and hekate_ctcaer_5.5.8_Nyx_1.0.5 but it keeps crashing on my whenever I tried to run it. I deleted Retroarch and reinstalled multiple times with no success.

U need to run hbmenu in title takeover mode by holding R trigger and don't let it go then launch a game wait for hbmenu to show up then let R trigger go

Thanks for the tip but that didn't work for me.

Edit: It worked after I found the correct way to enter the takeover mode using "R" as suggested.

    I just dislike that they don't let me choose the voices before the game starts. Happened with botw as well, had to change to japanese and restart.
