Hey guys this is gonna be one of my first real tutorials and i can't take the credit for all of this i gotta give credit to @CrisFTW for finding the case code and making XL case cheat that is how i found the case editing area
and i also have to thank @Retroboy for helping me in this research and inspiring me to find it but here's how you do it!
Step one: open RE 4 and start the game new or load doesn't matter but open inventory
Step two: hit home and go to sx os
Step three: Go to ram editor
Step four: hit jump to address and then type in "Heap+0x2A6C9B80" This will take you to your case!
Step five: find 23 00 01, that is your Pistol and 23 is the main item id in hex so now we will look for the item you want! using >>https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3w6RNycZEHEdE9oTWN6X0RFalk/view
Step six: once we find the item we want in decimal code we will convert it to hex! for example Killer 7 magnum is =042 in decimal so when it's converted it becomes 2a in hex so now we replace the 23 from the previous step with 2a
Step seven:now we are going to go back in game move the gun then go out of inventory and go back in! that's it! you're done!
This would be way too complicated for the end-user. That and the fact you can only change the handgun to certain items. To get around this, I made an item cheat. All you need to do is buy an item and whatever value you fill in below for the X's is what's bought instead. This allows you to get any item in your inventory that you please. The following cheat is for v1.0.2.

I simply converted to decimal values to hex. Most of the items I've tried have worked so far, so the list is probably valid. Expect most of the impossible to get items to crash the game upon buying them. This may include key items or items from other campaigns. Proceed at your own risk!

So all you have to do is open your case, press Y button (I think) to show the outside of your case, and you will find whatever Item/Weapon you selected is placed outside of your case.
Then all you have to do is drop it into your case.
Pretty sure I shared the codes in here, if not then crap as my SD card back then fecked up and lost everything and big ole Nintendont sent their legal team after me and forced me to delete my website which hosted all of the cheats I had created which I also used as a backup for any notes I made for cheat codes, so if I was to come back to said game at a later date (which I often do) I had these notes so I could jump straight to the game memory editor and make other cheats.

Yea I think using the site to host cheats, tho it never had a shop to buy, it was a FB page i ran to sell dongles, they first came at my partner after buying one off the FB page, no idea how they managed to get me by finding my girlfriend.
Then I guess they found the website afterwards and apparently its illegal to make and provide cheat codes for nintendo consoles, which is strange because the likes of Action Replay and Codejunkies website sells cheat products and even game retailers online and in store.
But yea, that is why I don't release cheat codes anymore, but to be fair its been ages since i've played on my switch, been more focused trying to learn how to make PS4 cheat trainers, the cheat side of it is easy, but trainers is not as easy, shame the PS4 cant simply have cheats like almost all other consoles using a txt file or a cht file.
