I was wondering, is the Universal Updater reliable for updating both Luma3DS and GodMode9 or do I have to update it manually by dragging the files?

Can't you use Luma Updater to update Luma? I don't remember since it's been so long, but I think it comes with Luma

Universal-Updater v3.2.2 has been released!

It's a pretty minor update this time, but there are a few reasonably important bug fixes, a couple other minor additions, and new translation updates so we figured it was time for a new release.

As always, the download and full release notes are on GitHub or just open it up and it should update automatically

Universal-Updater v3.2.3 has been released!

Really minor one this time, just translation updates and a bug fix, but as it's been a while since the last release we figured we should make one with these fixes. We are planning on some bigger things soon™, but no exact plans yet.

Oh missed this so a bit late sorry, all of the ones I know of are in the list in Select UniStore -> + (which it gets from this JSON file) afaik no one has really made any others.

You mean on the HOME Menu? If you install the .cia versions of the cores they'll show up there. Installing RetroArch from Universal-Updater doesn't install everything since that makes it super slow.

Instead you need to install Core info files (and optionally the other entries) from the Universal-DB "RetroArch" app, then go to Settings -> Select UniStore... -> (+) -> RetroArch Cores -> retroarch.unistore and then you'll be able to download all the cores you want, just download the .cia versions of those and it should show up on your HOME Menu.

The cores have their own separate UniStore since there's 95 of them and that would kinda clutter up the main one lol.

Another relatively small update, mainly just created for the translations that had been updated since v3.2.3 and the new 3D banner, but there are also a couple minor new features.

Not to Universal-DB, FlagBrew have requested that their apps not be on app downloaders like Universal-Updater and we're respecting that.

For personal use you could always make your own UniStore (see the wiki for how), but we won't include it in the in-app list or otherwise promote it since FlagBrew don't want that.

Just released v3.2.5 now, it's a really small update but there was a somewhat major new bug in v3.2.4 and @PabloMK7 improved the 3D banner with some really cool animations and shading:

FYI to anyone having issues loading Universal-Updater and getting an "Invalid UniStore" error: Dynadot's DNS is having issues and causing Universal-DB to be down. I've switched over to Cloudflare's DNS as it sounds like they're more reliable so everything should be back to normal soon, but DNS changes take a while to propagate so it may be down for a bit.

I think once you're able to access the Universal-DB website it should work if you reload Universal-Updater, if not then go to settings -> Select UniStore... -> + -> Universal-DB to add it.

Edit: I can confirm it's working again for me on Google and Xfinity's DNS servers, not Cloudflare's yet though funnily enough, so it should be good just might take a while to fully propagate. I think they usually say 24 hours or so at max.

How to update luma version with Universal updater? I go to the luma and download boot.firm, then I execute it and nothing happens. Still in 10.2.1 despite being the sd icon next to boot.firm. is just a luma downloader and I need to install it manually? In luma updater was easier when was working (automatically creates a .bak and replaces with the new boot.firm w/o any manual installation).

Edit: nevermind. Seems that it needs a reboot to see it updated.

By default the SD root, it can be changed to anywhere you like though in settings. Settings -> Directory settings... -> Change NDS path.
