ROM Hack [RELEASE] Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns - Hamtaro & Cheburashka Restoration Patch

@ubergeek77 I’m new to 3ds hacking,Is there a way you or somebody here can point a super noob into the right direction of how to hack my 3ds and to use this Hamtaro restoration patch? I don’t know what CIAs or RomFS is or any of the things listed in the delta Read Me.

I have an Old 3ds with 11.6.0-39U firmware and a digital version of US Story of Seasons Trio of Towns version 1.1 . I’m not really understanding all this stuff on the Japanese base or update RomFS. I don’t require where to get the stuff, I just need a “How to hack your 3ds and use Hamtaro restoration patch for dummies” explanation. Im lost on which Homebrew exploit to choose as to not brick my system.(ntrboot install is confusing, what does it mean by “Flashing”?) I have a non SDHC memory card I use for my Brawl hacking, can I use it for the 3ds hacking too(Homebrew)? Or will the extra stuff brick it?

That’s a problem with the hack. You’ll have to place them after you take the hack out.

Yes, I'm aware of this. It's actually been reported to me several times already. Sorry to disappoint, but I have no idea what causes this nor how to fix it. It's weird, because I haven't touched anything to do with item data. The bulk of the patch is text replacements, and even then, the game has great error handling when a string is missing, as it will just load a ". . . . . ." in it's place.

I've tried finding what causes this, but I haven't been able to fix it. Unfortunately, the only thing I can recommend is avoiding putting mushroom logs on your farm, though I know how much it sucks not being able to grow mushrooms.

No one's pointed this out before. Just to clarify, does the game still crash after you remove the patch, place the logs, put the patch back, then load your save? Does this work without any issues?

Tried it on my 2nd slot of my save but it wont proceed me to the game. In short it also crash.

I don’t recall it doing that on the older version. It never crashed after I took the hack out and placed the logs and reinstalled the hack.

will hamtaro and chebrushka still in your farm (assuming you already get them) if you disable the game patch?

The game crashes if i put mushroom logs on my farm. I've tried removing the hack and putting the mushroom logs and put the hack back, but whenever i go to where my mushroom logs is, the game crashes..

Yes it commonly known that the mushroom logs will crash your game with this hack. You unfortunately can’t use the mushroom logs with the hack.

I hope this will be fix soon i love having hamtaro and cheburashka in my game but having no mushroom logs is... I dont wanna choose between hamtaro/cheburashka and mushroon log i want them all badly lol!

I got a white screen when triggering "A Strange New Friend". It's suppose to trigger the cheburashka cutsene.

So, I already make a mistake. I put the mushroom log down and save. Can anyone teach me how to unpatch, so that i can remove the logs from my farm.

I wanted to play the game on the Citra emulator with this patch but it looks like you can only do it if you have an actual 3DS, which I don't and won't have anytime soon. Would it be possible for you to make the patch work on PC with the ROMs on Citra, please? As a big Hamtaro fan I would really appreciate it!

@Kristo-Ham I tried with citra already, hamtaro was ok but not cheburashka. I triggered the cheburashka event and it straight away jams on my citra.

think no one will able to fix it. either play without the restoration or play without placing a mushroom log
