I was keeping files hidden in my android folder on my SD card for my phone and my phone had an update the files are gone but the storage it has left on the SD card tells me it's still being used by the files I lost from the phone update can I recover them somehow? If I plug my SD into a computer would they show up and possibly be saved? or should I just format my SD card to recover the lost storage I can't use?
