What's the most simple a to recolor a poke? Use godmode to dump and Luma patch use? I've never messed with this stuff and wants to replace a few color palettes and music tracks. Can these be used online?

I use Godmode9 to dump my game to CIA, and then use Luma to patch and ROM hack it. Just work off the dumped CIA and extract it using HackingToolKit. It's simple once you get used to it. And yes, you're completely fine to use them online, no one can see your edited textures or music. If you need to know where music is, it's in RomFS/Data/Sound.

Have a link to a tutorial? I believe I started off correctly. Dumped from sd, not 100% sure though. It's in the out folder as a cxi file

Looks like I'm slowly getting it. Found a tutorial. All tutes I found use an older method to rebuild the cia when done. I don't have to rebuild if using luma patching? Extract, edit, place edited/compressed files in the correct path for luma, allow patching...correct?

Nah, you don't have to rebuild it. Just put the Garc in Luma/titles/(TitleID)/Romfs/a/0/9.
One step forward, two steps back. I'm getting an unhandled exception error when I drag a bin to ohana. I don't know if it's because i'm on a 64x system or what. I don't know how to recompile ohana either.

Which .bin exactly? And is it decompressed? Ohana is really only for decompressed files but it "works" with compressed one's as well. You can't edit them compressed anyway.

Question, can I put the animation's with the models in a Unity or UE4 project?
Not sure. You can try:
1. Importing the animation file you want to put in Unity/UE4.
2. Click the "Export all" button. I recommend having a folder to export to.
I've never tried it before, so you can try.

I'm confused as to what file we load into PK3DS. I have a .3DS file, but when I load it in and go to unpack it, there's nothing to select in any of the boxes.

You're supposed to extract the .3ds file with a tool such as HackingToolKit3ds. That let's you access the individual game files that you can use in pk3ds

Edit: I would also recommend looking at some guides for rom hacking before looking at this (i.e. how to randomize or something similar) because it helps to get you familiar with how to do things

File 4 looks like it's a clean cut greyscale version of the normals, File 8 looks like it's some sort of lip test, and File 9 looks like it might just be empty buffer space, since they're all only 1 kb and from what I can tell they're all empty.
