Playing out of region games on 3DS with homebrew?

Hi, I installed Homebrew on my old 3DS but I can only play europe region games. If I try to start a US game like Bust-A-Move the screen is black. Is there a way to play US and Japanese games?

If you have full CFW installed it should just work.

We pretty much have the rule here that it is always a horrible idea to ever follow any kind of video guide, as they tend to become outdated very quickly and have lots of mistakes. Always use 3ds.hacks.guide. I guess a way to check if you are running Luma3ds is to press L + Down + Select to see if a menu appears.
