As the title says, my PC isn't recognising my Switch in RCM mode and I could use some help. I will include as much detail on what I've tried as possible.
I first hacked my Switch with an old laptop a few months ago, which worked perfectly fine. Now I have a new PC and with a recent firmware update I've had to update my cfw using my new PC. I updated the files on the SD card, put the Switch into RCM mode and plugged it into my PC via a USB-C cable. I know it's in RCM mode cause the screen stays black and it doesn't turn on normally unless I hold the power button for several seconds then press it again. The USB-C cable also seems to work (as far as I can tell) because it will charge the Switch when it's turned on normally.
However, upon plugging my Switch into my PC while in RCM, my PC just doesn't recognise it. TegraRCMGui says the drivers are installed but never detects an RCM device, if I try using Zadig to install drivers then there's no "APX" device in the devices list and there's no "APX" device under any of the categories in Device Manager. I've also tried two different USB-C cables and two different USB ports.
So why isn't my PC picking up my Switch and how can I make it do so? My best guess would be that the cable charging and transferring data are two different functions which can work independently of each other, however I don't know enough to say whether that is the case. If it helps, neither of the USB-C cables are official Nintendo ones.
Any help is appreciated.
