Hardware New 3DS XL USB-C Hardmod Question

Hello All,

Decided to whip out the new 3ds xl after a couple yrs. I want to do some of the hard mods like Bluetooth transmitter, wireless charging, and led that Dennis G showed off.

I want to do a usb c one first and foremost but no one has really covered it for the New 3DS XL so if I could do one I’d make a video too to help others who may be interested.

My question is:

If I buy the following usb c port:

Would I be able to solder the usb c pcb+port onto the new 3ds xl motherboard? I saw somewhere that this particular one is only meant for the regular 3ds xl.

Can someone help me in the right direction for a suitable pcb+usb c port (and if resistors are required) for a hard mod on a New 3DS XL?

TY. Eh if I wreck it I won’t mind too much anyway. Haven’t touched this in years and if it gets wrecked I’ll just run citra.

I wanna do some of these hard mods cause they look pretty dope and the end product is worth imo over the risk/time/difficulty factors.
