New 3DS C-Stick replace with a PSP stick

Well, hello all!
All this like tittle say :D
Here where I find it and gonna copy all of it here :)

For the longest time gaming handhelds did not have a second analog stick, making certain games a pain to control (shooters) and 3D camera control impossible. Sony decided to fix this on the PS Vita by adding a second stick. Nintendo dragged its feet a lot longer, but eventually came up with the C-Stick, which is a nub, not a stick.

Not everyone likes the C-Stick on the New 3DS and New 3DS XL. It doesn’t allow for much movement, can become uncomfortable to use during extended play, and apparently oils can build up in it making it more difficult to use. However, there’s a surprising solution to the problem, and it comes in the form of the analog stick cap found on a PSP-1000.

The realization this works came via an experiment by Ryan Hirsch who detailed the installation on Reddit. The C-Stick nub just pops out using the tip of a screwdriver. Then the PSP analog stick cap can be placed over the hole and with a bit of pressure pops into place. It actually sits a little lower than the C-Stick nub, so causes no issues when the 3DS is closed.

Obviously, there’s a risk you could damage your 3DS by attempting this, but it looks easy enough. If you’re not happy with the C-Stick then why not, right? Replacement PSP stick caps can be picked up for a couple of dollars, and I’ve seen replacement C-Stick caps for $10. So it’s not exactly an expensive experiment to conduct.

BUT WAIT! Don't cut your old c-stick.....Its way too easy to just unscrew the back plate remove the screws securing the c-stick module and simply pop the rubbery thing off.. :P!!!

i've heard several people complain that this mod, over time, can damage the c-sticks functionality altogether, because it wasn't meant to be 'handled' that way, so to speak.

I think the c stick is fine and works great as is. I would consider doing this, as it would be bit more grippy (yes, grippy is now a word :P) but it seems that when moving it to the left, it will bump the edge of the plastic surrounding the screen. Reduced maneuverability would ruin the experience for me. Perhaps a little dremel work to make it a tad smaller would fix that, but seems like too much effort for very little payoff. Also this is old news.

not really because the psp analogue has a little bump underneath so it should rise it up a little giving it free movement.

It doesn't raise it above that edge, and if it did, would pose other problems, like the stick potentially causing scratches.

i have taken and modded psp sticks before, they have a little ridge at the bottom, fitting this then leaves a little gap but also....... watch the video because it doesn't act like a normal stick so it still has free movement.

If there is indeed no rubbing of the screen border, i may just have to get me a spare psp stick and try this out. Do u know if only the one from psp 1000 works or any will work?

think of the c stick like this, it is not an analogue its is more like (heres the norm for nintendo) old technology used in laptops as a finger/mouse pad that acted upon pressure you apply, it moves in that direction.

this is why its a shit idea for gaming because it often for me doesnt work as intended when controlling camera movement/aiming.

The c-stick works great for me. Not a true analog, but at least they attempted to give us something for camera control. I might have a scrap psp around still if i can just find it.
