I'd either call them Classic consoles or Mini consoles. I think I used those interchangeably in the review. This one's officially a Neo Geo Mini, but I think Nintendo's are Classic Mini? Something like that anyway.

Only reason that could be a nice thing its if it does emulate n64 games perfectly.
In that case, it might be worth getting one. Either to inject more games or if someone could rip the emulator or what.

tbh nintendo didn't start this, there has always been little 20-in-1 mega drive consoles etc for years, nintendo just nailed the presentation of what people wanted i.e tiny replicas not mega drive games on a little cheap plastic box with a tiny spattering of mega drive aesthetics.

personally I hope nintendo keeps up with the idea of bundling a never released games that were close enough to completion like they did with starfox 2 on the snes mini

No micro switches no fun! I prefer handheld one with micro switches... damn I have one! Neo Geo X and history of this handheld reminding similar idea that Switch have now. But when it was released and examined first revision have micro sd card glued to mobo and use open source emulator... now ps classic mini also have same emulator, but this emulator was coffin to this console since SNK cancelled contract with as I remeber Tommo and all consoles shops was taken off. So as rest of SNK consoles now this is pricey.

and it's EXACTLY the same thing just an emulator in a box except it has the nintendo logo on it so everyone goes nuts over it and thinks it's the best idea ever made when all they did was just copy someone else
