Hacking Question Need help installing ReiNX using Mac

I keep getting this error whenever I try to run the payload launcher:

Please ensure that your Switch is in RCM mode!
Launching ReiNX.bin!
Identified a macOS system; setting up the appropriate backend.

Several users have experienced the same issue as I have but they have either solved the issue (and once they have, didn't post a solution) or couldn't fix it at all. I'm at a dead end here.

For context: I am a total noob when it comes to stuff like this. Any help would be appreciated.
