ROM Hack Need help converting .cmp files from shin megami tensei strange journey redux

Hello. I've been trying to convert image files of the game shin megami tensei strange journey redux but now I'm stuck. Basically there's a file called STEX where most of the images in the game are. A big part of them are in .stex which I have found a way to convert to .png. But the other half of the files are .cmp and I cannot find anything that can even recognize the format.




edit : actually i'm also having the same problem in the ds version of the game. there's also a ton of .cmp files i don't know how to open
