Just minutes ago....
The bad thing is, there was the pre-order line for the PS3 at the same time, when I got there(Toys"r"us at times square NY) at about quarter to eleven there was like 300 people in line, and some of them have been in line since 7- 8pm of the day before! But that was for the PS3, most of us in line for the Wii were hard to see up to the point when they announced that there were no more PS3 to reserve, then some people left and everybody in line was waiting for the Wii.
I got the number 198 and there were probably 50 or 60 unit lefts when I got mines.
I heard in there that they only had like 190 PS3 preorders available today.
They also told me that on midnight November 19th there will be a bit lounch and a bunch of people will be there and some media too....
It was a bit cold this morning and it took me like 2 and 1/2 hours to get inside, but it was worth it.
Now I have to go out and reserve Zelda too, because I forgot to do that this morning...

There's always plenty of consoles on launch at the stores around here.

Although likely that all pre-orders will be met and you will be able to get one fairly easily (well easier than a PS3 anyway) a few weeks after launch you have to remember two things:
1) Its xmas, things sell out it and new things sell faster
2) It took MS ages to meet the preorders and its took them even longer to secure a decent supply.

That's right, I am not one of those guys who has to play it on lounch day, but I thought 2 hours in line to get it reserved ain't that bad, and it wasn't even raining !
But there are many people camping out of the store a day or two in advance, and that seem to be a little extreme to me.
The guy who was the first in line today was there since 7pm yesterday, and he had to sleep on the sidewalk and eat there and all the rest merely to get a reservation. Now I could even understand it if you would wolk out with a PS3 under your arm, but just to make sure you get it reserved it's a little crazy.
Me i just want to be able to play my Wii before the end of the year, and with all those stories about shortage and shipments problems or lost cargos, I thought getting up a little early this sunday wasn' t that bad after all.

Man i was lucky last night/this morning, my group was last 4 people in line. i waited 18 hours for my wii's... So now i have 4 wiis 4 TP's 4 chucks and wiimotes and 8 TMX Elmos...Going to be a good christmas here...

I pre-ordered my Wii last Sunday at ToysRus as well. I got there at 6am as the 11th person, Wii(15)/PS3(6) reserves were handed out at 9:30am so it wasn't too bad, plus I had my DSL with me. A group had been camping out since Friday afternoon to get both PS3/Wii.

Is it a good idea to go out and reserve a couple of games as well ?
I am worried if there's gonna be enough Zelda's on launch day and I was also looking for Red Steel.
Should I go and reserve these or is it gonna be safe to get one ?

Me and a bunch of friends havn't pre-ordered the wii+games yet. We're just buying them at a midnight madness sale. Though after hearing about all these line ups for pre-orders, we might have a problem...
