Hacking Modding NDS injects

Hi guys i would like to mod NDS injections of the Kingdom Hearts games,
as you may know all KH games got hd remaster but not the ds games :/
I managed to upscale the resolution so it look a little bit better (kind of psx vibes)
Now i would like to implant customs control like some did on mario 64 ds

If someone got any clue how to make it possible i would love to know

I don't believe it's as easy as just remapping the controls or attempting to remap the DS VC in a way that feels like analog.

Unless I'm mistaken, there was an individual rom hack for Super Mario 64 DS itself, which was later incorporated into an emulator. I believe that is how we have the current analog control hack available.

I would definitely love to see this ported to 358 or Re:Coded though.
