Mario Kart 64 HD Wii U possibility?

I’ve recently found out about this mod for Mario Kart 64 called Mario Kart 64 HD it appears to be compatible even with the Wii VC version but only via dolphin, I wonder if this can work on Wii U with the Wii U VC version, I apologize if it’s a silly question.

Possible an emulator may do it as you can increase the ram size to cope but as for vanilla injections I'd be sceptical as those increased roms don't tend to work as injects.

Worth trying i'd say at least the emu option... Then you can have gamepad!
