is there any software ( other than default) that would tell me if my analog stick is bad?

so its been a while since ive used my 3ds, but some pokemon stuff is going down and i wanna make sure im to date, plus, its the limited edition majora's mask one so i can't part with it even if i wanted to, because it seems like the analog stick is bad. Now i say it seems, because im not sure, all i know is when i turn it on, it just cycles up and down, i guess you could look at it like drifting and i have to fight it to be able to select anything, that being said i can seem to boot into games and programs fine, its just a giant pain in the butt. Getting to brass tax, i would be willing to reluctantly take it apart and replace the analog stick, if i knew that was the problem and not the nub, or even maybe a software problem, my question is, is there any type of program for the 3ds out there that will give me an enhanced read on the analog stick and such?

btw, yes, i did try to recalibrate, didnt work. Lastly, yes i am on luma, i dont really remember what version i can dig it up if you think its important.

Honestly it's just stick drifting because stick pads that made them work just get inevitably used, some faster than others. Especially since you said that you can "fight" the stick drift, it's just that. You can find plenty of tutorials and video on how to change a stick and it seems that you don't even need to know how to solder to change them on 3ds so it's relatively easy

hey folks, really appreciate thke input! i willl try the program just to confirm ( no hard feelings Evel) but if its confirmed ill order a 3ds stick and go through the hassle of replacing it, i guess the good news is the replacements are cheap!

just a quick update for you folks that commented, its definitely drift! after a little tug of war i was able to install ( and launch) the program and the program informed me the circle pad is DEFINITELY done.

I just dislike that they don't let me choose the voices before the game starts. Happened with botw as well, had to change to japanese and restart.
