I've heard that you can install homebrew on the "normal" Switch but that it's not possible or at least very difficult to do so on the Oled model. But is that actually true?
If not what's the easiest way to do so?

I'm totally new to this and don't know anything about this. So I don't know how anything of this works. If it's important to know, I'm from Germany so there could be some slight differences to other regions like the USA or Japan. Also I've got the latest Nintendo software installed

Thanks in advance

If I didn't already have an unpatched OG switch, I'd be looking into options to chipping an OLED. That screen must be nice. But then again, I play a lot of the time docked to the tv.

Those are also modchips.

Look, I don't know why you are getting upset at people literally answering the question you asked. There is nothing we can do if the answer is not what you seek. Your circumstances has no bearing on what is currently possible.

Your options are as follows:
  1. Get a modchip and solder it yourself.
  2. Get a modchip and someone to solder it for you
  3. Get a pre-modded Switch
  4. Get an exploitable Switch
  5. Wait for an alternative which may or may not ever come
  6. Give up on the idea of homebrewing your Switch
This is pretty much an exhaustive list of the currently available choices you have right now.

I just dislike that they don't let me choose the voices before the game starts. Happened with botw as well, had to change to japanese and restart.
