Input Redirection seems to crash the entire 3DS

Hi,
I previously posted the thread:

Requesting help finding software to run Python script on CFW Nintendo 3DS
(I can not post links yet) where I wanted to make an SR script for myself on the VC games. The script for the most part works, but I am encountering an issue where after using Input Redirection of the Luma 3DS (this is an old 3DS XL for clarification) for a while, the entire system seems to crash and not respond. None of my buttons (A, L, START, HOME, etc.) respond in both the Input Redirection client and the physical 3DS. Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for this or recommend an alternate Redirection client?

    I just dislike that they don't let me choose the voices before the game starts. Happened with botw as well, had to change to japanese and restart.
