I have a 7.02 ps4 pro that i want to softmod, should i mod with it? Or with 9.x?

Should i stay with 7.02? Or update to 9? And if i want to play say the most recent games, how would i go about doing that? Cause the reason i want to softmod, is due to the inevitable end of ps4's online service that apparently bricks it from digital and physical games.

you should update to 9.00, theres no good reason to stay on 7.xx since it was so unstable.

that's already been resolved with Official Firmware 9.00 which silently fixed the CBOMB issue so all of this games will still work even with a dead cmos battery. You dont even need to hack your ps4 to fix this anymore.

Goodie Softmodded it on 9 the other day. But there's one predicament, i previously deleted some of my purchased games back when on 7.02, and on 9, i need to update to use the store. Guessing there's no way for me to fetch the digitally purchased games anymore?

you could always buy a cheap used ps4/ or borrow one from a friend to download ur purchased stuff

you can d/l the patches via https://orbispatches.com/ and install them via goldhen or patch installer (linked).

but work only for games, which you legally purchased and stored at your ps4
