Hacking Question I can still update FW when console banned

Just as the title says. I have a console ban but I can still update the OFW but can't use online services. This is making me super confused ad my brain is starting to hurt thinking about it. If anyone knows why this happened please let me know

The ban blocks your console from connecting to every nintendo server but the one for FW updates. It's the normal behavior

There are multiple types of bans. Only one type of ban prevents system updates which are called CDN bans as these restrict you from all access to Nintendo's CDN. Being able to update while banned just means you don't have a CDN ban which are reducing in number due to CDN tools being dead for a while now.

While rare, it is possible to be able update both your firmware and games but still be banned in a sense; in these situations, its usually a ban for a specific game. Are you banned from any game?

I can confirm...I'm on a banned original switch, and yes I can update firmware normally, but no not the game updates.

Bans aren't going to prevent people from updating offline.

It blows my mind that my 1st switch thats been hacked since pretty much sx os days is still somehow not fully banned, I could have sworn both of my hacked switches were banned but one of them is letting me manually update a game, for anyone wondering why im doing this, mlb the show 23 needs an update that isn't uploaded yet as a xci or nsp. Obviously I don't care if im fully banned or not. I fully expect to be
