Hwfly v5 oled led purple breathing then green static

I installed the hwfly v5 on my oled and now when i Power it up the led turns purple for bout 2 secs (breathing ) then it turns static green anyone knows an fix? My sd card is fat32 with fw

Btw i never saw something else only purple and green

Purple flashing and then green is good.

What hWFLY firmware are you using?

What are you using for your /payload.bin file?

Try to copy hekate.x.x.x.bin to payload.bin in the top directory of your SDCard and see if you can get hekate running.

You bought it preinstalled? In the original post it sounded like you had just installed it.

thanks for the picture…it shows you have a payload.bin file in place. Do you know where that file came from Or did you get it pre-installed by someone else?

The x.x.x is replace by the version of Hekate that you would download from the Hekate GitHub.

You do have Hekate installed in /bootloader. It is a part of HATS pack. No need to update the payload as HATS comes with the right one.

But he has the same error as me

Here is an video from me that Shows first without sd card and Pressing - , with sd card with pressing - , when i only press the Power Button it is static green i hope you understand my bad english 🙃

Btw it always starts with breathing purple and then goes to the other colora

In the video they remove a ribbon cable just to get to the power cable. I don’t believe the ribbon cable has anything to do with the solution. After disconnecting the power they are removing the cables to the modchip and powering on to get OFW without the modchip interfering at which point it goes to error mode because the modchip can’t see the Switch. They then reverse the connections and power up normally and the chip works. It’s certainly worth a shot.

The hwfly Dosent get recognize from the pc do you have an tutorial?

And the video didnt worked for me

Someone said to me that i have to reset the chip shorting the 2 rst points i am going to try that tommorow

Sadly... didnt worked the Support from hwfly said its because i use an samsung sd card and not an sandisk sd card

I written sthetix he said something with emmc reball and afterwards he said if hwfly Support use an sandisk use an sandisk

samsung sdcards are absolutely fine. That’s not the issue, but if it will make them happy, try a sandisk.

damn i have the same issue, got my new switch oled, some one installed modchip, i tried diffrent cable... everything
still not working.im also using samsung card....

What happened? Does it still boots to "NO SD" screen without the SD card?

I had as well a static green on V4, but I never managed to get something on the screen. It was firmware related and THIS one solved it.

Hi im here from my other account i uninstalled the hwfly v5.3 chip and i could not boot into ofw i think i messed up the emmc now im searching for a fix or give it to an professional repair guy
