How to get mii channel in the vwii back

After downloading homebrew on the vwii, the mii channel was still working.
Now whenever I open the mii channel it tries to download homebrew and keeps doing that even when I try to use Wuphax to fix it.
I have the wuphaxBackup on my sd card so I don't know why it's not working.

    I just dislike that they don't let me choose the voices before the game starts. Happened with botw as well, had to change to japanese and restart.
