I've just figured out how R2r became the ruler of the English.
So, you know the myth about the King of Fighters from middle ages and crusades...
Goes something like deez:

“Whoever pulls out this sword from this stone is the true king of England!"™

R2r, with the help of Marlin the clown fish, set up a fake stone with Electromagnets.
The stone's insides had wired coils that activated when you stood next to the stone. The way it activated the electromagnet is with touch sensors buried inside the dirt around the stone. Once the Electromagnet activated, it will hold/pull the sword in it's place.

Marlin the clown fish, told R2r, that he must take advantage of his malnourishment, that is, to make his body's center of gravity a bit out of it's central point, thus weighting much less.
This is why R2r, put a foot in the stone instead of standing next to the stone.

Proof:

Did you notice that small leap? That's to prevent the Electromagnet from activating again!!!1
