i have a SDXC micro sd but its incredibly slow compared to my old SDHC.
my old unbranded generic 32gb SCHC gets like 40 mb/s and its a cheep SD

then i just brought a new Official Samsumg 128gb SDXC sd card and it only does 8 mb/s
why is my cheep sd better then my branded one?

the packaging says up to 48 mb/s with UHS-1.

Amazon is a lot better, just buy from Amazon themselves or from the company that puts out the SDs. I generally go with SanDisk, which there are plenty of fakes out there of, and I haven't come across a single fake yet from there.

Ah. Well, I guess Class 10 would be useful, but still, you can buy a 32GB for $12 or 64GB for $21. You don't need to spend over $50 to get a quality, decently-sized microSD.

If you have two half full 32GB cards and you plan to combine them, you'll need 32GB. That leaves you ~32GB of room. The question ends up being: which is more important? Saving $40+ or being a packrat? A 64GB card should be absolutely plenty, unless you plan on playing a couple dozen games at a time.

You could have a point there. Plus cia actually come out smaller then the.3ds files. Perhaps a 64gb should be ok

I always buy from TigerDirect, Newegg, Best Buy or Walmart when I see a good sale and need more storage. There have been quite a few sales lately for Sandisk and Samsung U1 128GB cards for around 60-70USD lately (real good deals).
