Hacking homebrew app store issue?

almost every game i install straight from the homebrew appstore on my switch is broken and im unsure why. the normal applications work perfectly fine, but the games always crash. i have 16 games, and i'm running these in full ram mode and not applet mode. 7 of them give me the generic "software has been closed because an error has occurred" error, 4 just make the screen go black before sending me back to hbmenu, 2 just give me an infinite black screen, and 3 actually work. its really frustrating because the ones that do work are the one i have the least interest in, and the ones that don't work i really wanna play. any help would be appreciated, but please try to dumb down the solution if it's too complex because im very new to switch hb.

You mean tinfoil, because homebrew app store is something different.

no i meant the homebrew app store ... tinfoil gives me a similar issue, but im talking about the homebrew games i downloaded straight from the hb store (mainly different ports of old 3d shooters , cave story ports , and some extra stuff)

Most likely said games aren't updated with later versions of Libnx. Some fw versions ago needed a significant update to homebrews to work.

They probably needs to be recompile with libnx if they are from the homebrew app store.
