Gaming Help With Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

Not sure if this is the correct spot for this question so I apologize if it is.

I installed the US version of MoBW from Wii U USB Helper onto my CBHC Wii U and it freezes on the start up screen. This only occurs when I install the DLC files. If I remove them, the trial version loads fine. I am curious if there are any solutions to this? I've seen a few mentions of it online but no solutions given.

In my case it started running after waiting a looooooong time, after that first run the game starts up fine and fast.

What's even weirder is that it loaded once today to the title and said "successfully upgraded to full version". But only once. As soon as I exited the game and tried again it was stuck once more.

Try the same game from another region (EU or US).

I had a similar problem and decided to reinstall the game, but now the USA DLC always gives me an error when trying to install it.

Several years ago I managed to install and run the game with no problems, but I don't remember how I did it.
I have the vague impression that I had to use the European Disc version, but my save appears as American on my console.

Ran into this problem and found a fix in another thread. Reset the system after install. The game won’t run if you had the home brew channel open before running the game.
