Owners of Playstation's flagship racing game Gran Turismo 7 have been taking to social media to vent their frustration at not being able to play their $70 purchase. After what was meant to be routine maintenance, the game's servers have been offline now for around 30 hours. Instead of only affecting multiplayer races, no one was able to play the game (other than a very minimal selection of races - with zero progression saved) due to the decision to lock the single-player behind online-only DRM.
To make matters worse, Polyphony Digital reduced the credit rewards for many races in the last update in an effort to promote the micro-transactions in the game.
