You should wait for the iXtreme firmware for the Hitachi to come out before flashing your 360. I hope that it does work.

but this will work best on a new unflashed console right? cuz once the box is banned, its banned for life right? so if in a future update, ms bans people using this one, there's no real hope is there?

iXtreme FW for sammys is out. but it will ONLY let you boot stealthed backups.

I didn't do my own backups. How can I tell if my games are stealth?

wait.... the backups can be 'stealthed' now? so the media detection from ms cant be used?

They were always able to be stealthed, but now the new firmware only works with stealthed games, who knows if MS will be able to detect them.. only time will tell

but in this case, does stealth mean that the media type (or whatever it's called) is copied from the retail release? or can they tell what specific brand the media is?

ms cant see whether its a real game or a copy. shame i have 2 hitachi drives here, sent my samsung back to microsoft a long time ago
