It only mentions March 28 as the release date of this video/tv thingy. If a decoder chip is indeed needed, it will probably be present in these new devices, so that would make March 28 a probable release date. But that's pure speculation of course.

I was thinking that this whole tv/video thingy might just be an effort that originated in the legal department of GBAlpha. Obviously they're making loads of money off ROM pirates, so they invited a download service to justify their actions. I'm not sure how this same department is going to cope with legal matters involving the video content, but that's another story.

However, the post stated this thing will not be compatible with the M3Simply. So either they're releasing firmware for all other devices to support the service, or the service relies on a piece of hardware in Slot-1. This might be the 'Real' carts.
