It works with both.i'm new to using fan patches/hacks on the 3ds so sorry if this is a dumb question, but does this work for physical copies of the game or is it just digital.
EDIT :

I guess it works like this: find the CIA (on that iso site), decrypt it, and then edit its decrypted romFS.bin the same way you do it as a HANS patch (if I'm reading correctly). Then encrypt everything into a CIA. Then make an xdelta (or whatever patch), aka the difference between the original and the modified one.I... don't know how to do this.
If you can run CIAs you can run NTR, which is infinitely easier to setup than having to download a CIA file, run said CIA file through decrypt9, extract contents of CIA file, extract contents of romfs, rebuild romfs, rebuild CIA with the new romfs, to then compare it to the original CIA to make a patch, when NTR literally only requires you to have NTR installed, which is as easy as dragging some files to your SD and installing 1 cia, and then used the NTR files provided, which is literally as easy as drag and drop to root of SD and running NTR.I guess it works like this: find the CIA (on that iso site), decrypt it, and then edit its decrypted romFS.bin the same way you do it as a HANS patch (if I'm reading correctly). I think so, at least. I don't have the time to decrypt my CIA and apply the patch, and I'm not sure how to reencrypt it anyway.
Isn't NTR though a CFW that doesn't allow piracy? I... misplaced, so to speak, my cart, so the only way to run it is via CIA.If you can run CIAs you can run NTR, which is infinitely easier to setup than having to download a CIA file, run said CIA file through decrypt9, extract contents of CIA file, extract contents of romfs, rebuild romfs, rebuild CIA with the new romfs, to then compare it to the original CIA to make a patch, when NTR literally only requires you to have NTR installed, which is as easy as dragging some files to your SD and installing 1 cia, and then used the NTR files provided, which is literally as easy as drag and drop to root of SD and running NTR.
You can run NTR with CIAs, so say for example, you are running RxTools, or ReiNAND, or Cakes, or whatever CFW you use to patch sigs and run unsigned CIAs, you run NTR like you would any normal pirated game, then from NTR you can boot CIAs and use all of NTRs features.Isn't NTR though a CFW that doesn't allow piracy? Oh, I see! So it's like some sort of HANS for CIAs. Kinda. Thanks for the tip!You can run NTR with CIAs, so say for example, you are running RxTools, or ReiNAND, or Cakes, or whatever CFW you use to patch sigs and run unsigned CIAs, you run NTR like you would any normal pirated game, then from NTR you can boot CIAs and use all of NTRs features.
What they mean by that is that NTR does not patch signatures, which is easily taken care of by literally almost any other CFW.
Well, I believe NTR makes the game load slower regardless. It doesn't have to do with my files.I'm getting a little janky weirdness of the mod on NTR 3.3
------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's what I've encountered so far:
.When engaging in battle - Battles will begin with only the unit who initiated combat being present, and 1-3 second later the other units in the fight (support and enemy units) will pop into existence.
.When going to My Castle through screen transition (IE: after missions, or after load up) MC will take a rather long amount of time to load up. Like about 7-10 seconds.
Is this normal. They are kind of annoying. I super wanna use this, but it feels a bit too unstable right now. Will likely wait until it's a bit more polished!
NTR allows piracy. You just need to place the right language plugin into the GameID folder in your plugins folder and you'll be ace.Isn't NTR though a CFW that doesn't allow piracy? I... misplaced, so to speak, my cart, so the only way to run it is via CIA.
Are you sure? I've been running NTR exclusively with fates, using the cheat.plg too, and it's never been this slow. Only happened - or rather - only became noticeable when I installed this.Well, I believe NTR makes the game load slower regardless. It doesn't have to do with my files.
Uh, no, NTR does not allow Piracy, if you run NTR as a standalone CFW you won't be able to run any non legit CIAs, NTR does however allow you to run out of region Carts.NTR allows piracy. Than I misunderstand what you meant by 'Piracy'. I assumed .cia files were just that.Uh, no, NTR does not allow Piracy, if you run NTR as a standalone CFW you won't be able to run any non legit CIAs, NTR does however allow you to run out of region Carts.
As for the slowdown, it is because of NTR's layeredfs, nothing we can do about that, the only alternative is you patch your CIA, which is rather extremely complicated and neither me nor @UnassumingVenusaur run CIAs of any version of Fates, we only run cartridges.
Piracy on 3DS means running unsigned CIAs, something you can't do with NTR, simple as that.Than I misunderstand what you meant by 'Piracy'. I assumed .cia files were just that.
Yes!Does this work with the fantranslation?

Welp, here it is, everyone. The reason I'm still only on Chapter 11 of Birthright. This is a patch that vastly expands the amount of same-sex marriages available in the game, as well as adding new straight ones (especially for the poor Corrinsexuals).
Here's the list of new available options. Note that since I still know very little about many of the characters I pretty much just changed (almost) every platonic support to romantic and threw in a few new ones I thought would be fun based off my shallow knowledge. Also, I expanded Scarlet, Flora, and Anna to be able to S Support every first gen male in their respective routes (Scarlet for Birthright, Flora for Conquest, Anna for both) which should hopefully fix the problem of not being able to get every child character depending on who you marry.
As of the initial release, I also threw in convos for Oboro x F!Corrin, Oboro/M!Kana parent/child, and Hana x Sakura.
How Do I Install This?
Here is the download link. There are two versions contained in the file, a HANS version and an NTR CFW version (the NTR CFW version only has the plugin for the North American Special Edition at this time, I doubt it would work for the other versions sorry.) If you don't know what NTR CFW is chances are you're going to want to use the HANS version.
HANS
Go the usual route for installing a HANS romhack. Once you have the extracted romfs you can just paste these folders inside of it. Caveats: Use this extractor or else the Japanese file names will become corrupted, rendering them unusable, and you can skip step 6.
NTR CFW
Pretty damn simple, just paste the fefatesSE and plugin folders at the root of the SD card and let NTR CFW do its thing.
Can I Get Kids?
The short answer is, ish. The game seems hard coded to disallow same-sex couples to have children, and fixing that goes beyond my skillset. However, using this admittedly complicated workaround @DeathChaos25 came up with, you can indeed get kids, as you can see here with my baby Oboro!M!Kana.
This project probably won't be a super high priority until I make more progress on my Awakening one. I'll likely just make convos for the pairings I do and make little fixes here and there. Regardless, I hope people enjoy!![]()

The files should work across all regions for the HANS version. The NTR CFW only has the NA Special edition plugin for now though I have ones for NA Birthright and Japanese SE I was going to upload soon.is this only for the USA version?
If you use HANS, this supports EVERY CURRENTLY RELEASED VERSION OF FATES!is this only for the USA version?
