I did some testing, if one switch the switch to chinese language, the game will be in japanese voice and chinese subtitle. Maybe this can serve a hint on how to get it woprking as japanese voice and english text?

There is, but not by settings. It's default audio for all Asian languages. There are only two ways for now: editing NRO (which is giving me a headache because of nrr) or by swapping files in archive. Second one will take 12GB additional space to SD Card and only what can be shared here is a tool that will automatically unpack, rename and repack files, because making patch will result in adding half of audio to delta.

You should read how this mod works. It's using *.exe to set some values. And Switch doesn't use that. This game uses NRO launchers - which i mentioned earlier.
I have tried to modify strings, change hashes for .nrr and enabled ro!ease_nro_restriction = 1, but Switch hangs up. And I don't know what I should do to work this out.

Fyi this is a Vita port, not PC.

Edit: It looks like ease_nro_restriction doesn't work properly on non-dev units. And maybe it will be implemented in atm at some time.

Aww... hope someone figures it out though. SE and Bamco should’ve expected that people wanted to change VO’s on the fly.

It works only as part of save. You need to backup save and change values in gamesetting file.

Can encounter rate and speed be changed in the switch version?

Also I personally cannot recommend this, but you might be able to slightly change the graphics setiings if you overclock, I still think it will melt my switch though.

That's not true, according to the developer the version of the PC was taken over, which was 64 GB without compression. Only the touchscreen stuff is taken from the Vita.

Did you look at the graphic difference?

The switch has exactly the same graphics as the PC.

If it was true, then porting translation from PC to Vita and Switch wouldn't be an issue. You can put from PC ff_ps2 files and it will work, but some of subtitles will be mismatched.

Could be an older codebase, it's also lacking the boosters from the Steam version. What I meant is that there's no such thing as "version port" with a multiplatform engine. All newer ports are based off the PS3 Remaster anyway.

Audio files are in vbf archives. You can do that, just you need 5 GB space for FF X, 6,5 GB for FF X-2 and less than 2GB for Side Story.
